There are things in life that defy belief. Seeing them often is enough to set one on a path toward seeing unbelievable things at every turn. Seeing is disbelieving? Hmm…

The Red Queen of Alice in Wonderland Fame remarked that she often believed in impossible things; as many as six of them, all just before lunch, too.

A great many more people now are willing to disbelieve in the inherent justice of the American Justice System. They watched a jury in Boise convict me of four Federal felonies.

Sigh. Where do I begin?

You Could Be Next

This story will take some time and require several installments. If you have yet to hear anything about it, you will not believe it. You may not believe it, anyway. I do, however. I am living it. All too easily, you could be next.

I was convicted of hatching a plot to kill my wife, for which I allegedly hired an oafish Idaho handyman as a hit man. Already, something may not sound quite right to you.

A Case in Search of a Motive

Why did I want Cyndi, my wife of 25 years dead? I never have quite heard a reason that makes sense. First, Cyndi was told by the FBI that the motive was life insurance, but then they learned that both of us cancelled our policies years ago. Then, the FBI told her that the motive was my jealousy over her (nonexistent) boyfriend. Cyndi quashed that by demanding that the FBI produce photos they said they had; of course, there were none. They had told her another of what was to become a truly incredible number of lies in their haste to put me away.

Finally, the government settled upon a case I was investigating as motive, because I had communicated with a great many young Ukrainian women (with Cyndi’s consent and even, assistance) to determine if the Russian Bride business really was a human trafficking scam. First, as part of a case I briefly handled, then simply because I found the subject fascinating and worthy of writing a book about.

Two more novel motives were presented at trial: (1) I was after our car “uninsured motorist” insurance, though I was a lawyer and would have known full well that death by pipe bomb is not “accidental,” so that no insurance ever could be paid. (2) Divorce from Cyndi would be too expensive. Yet, the prosecutor failed to tell the jury that, long before the trial, I had signed all my assets over to Cyndi. Why, if I wanted all that we own (not much actually) for myself enough to want her dead?

Cyndi was part of every aspect of my life, even my communications and research overseas to determine how the Russian Bride business really worked. The book I planned, exposing the fraud was to be entitled “Love and Other Four-Letter Words” (subtitled “The Invasion of Planet Earth by Teenage Russian Mail-Order Brides from Cyberspace”). Supposedly, I wanted Cyndi out of my way so that I could run away to be with one (of over a hundred) of my teenage Ukrainian “girlfriends.” Seriously, that apparently is just what the prosecutor sold the jury! Of course, they had those damned audio recordings, as well.

I call this a case in search of a motive because, you see, I happen to love Cyndi. I know – that just isn’t fashionable in this day of throw-away relationships, but it is true.

I often have written of how lucky I have been to have had her. About the terrific kids we have. About how my family life serves to steady my universe. All true, even now, as I write these words from a jail cell in Northern Idaho while awaiting sentencing and endeavoring, as best I can, to get a new trial.

My Love Story

Let me try, first, to tell you of my love for Cyndi. She is my mate, pal, helper, lover, buddy, partner, mother of our kids… my first and last wife… my best friend. The love of my life. She is so much better than I deserve. I could go on.

There is a reason for this paen to my blushing bride, of course. To see that the Emperor of my story has no clothes, you must first get, on a visceral level, as do my closest friends, just how ludicrous it would be for me to want my wife dead.

I recall the moment I first laid eyes on Cyndi and the spontaneous burst of surprise and pleasure that crossed her face just before she cast her eyes down and first smiled for me that impish little grin of hers that I love so much. In less than two minutes, I was swept away, though I did my manly best to seem unaffected. It was love at first sight and, 27 years later, my heart still leaps up every time I catch sight of her again.

I could, and should, go on like this for a long time, but please know that I still see Cyndi as my one and only soulmate. There is much, much more to this story, though, and I have to give you at least an overview in this first installment.

My Way

At my lawyers request, I have kept silent (though not silent enough) about my case. I have made no public statements until today and have yet to speak with anybody from any media outlet. I bit my tongue during my recent trial and, against my better judgment, agreed not to take the stand to testify in my own behalf. Fat lot of good all that has done me!

No more. I did it my lawyers’ way and now, at age 66, I face a mandatory minimum sentence of 30 years, with 70 years a very real possibility. Obviously, any sentence over 10 years is superfluous to my life expectancy, especially in view of the medical problems I have seen in recent years (yet another lengthy, though relevant, tale that I call “It Only Hurts When I Breathe,” yet another story for another day).

Now we are going to do it my way, which likely will involve a good deal of sound and fury.

All My Trials

First up: Motion for a New Trial, which Federal Judge Winmill certainly will reject in summary fashion. I will have to rely on an appeal to get that new trial. It should be a laydown appeal, though, because this judge repeatedly committed reversible error (more than one story for other days).

We wrecked a sizable legal defense fund (the thanks for which would take more future stories than you would want to read) during the first trial, so I very possibly will have to represent myself at retrial. Spare me the jokes – all lawyers are fools (else we wouldn’t even be lawyers, of course).

Lessee now, where were we? Oh, yes. What really happened? Here’s the executive summary:

The Idahun Hit Man

Larry the Idahun handyman/builder/junk hauler whose cousin’s name must be Daryl, (though I do not yet know if Daryl has one or more brothers also named Daryl), worked off and on for us for years. Larry knew we had hidey-holes here and there on the property, because he built some of them for us. Larry stumbled across one of three of our silver stashes in an outbuilding and then he searched and found two others. All told, Larry stole $45,000 in silver bullion from us at the then price of $18 per ounce (twice that amount today).

Knowing I/we would discover the theft, Larry apparently decided that I/we had to go, so he set out to kill me/us with car pipe bombs. Like Wily Coyote, Larry must shop at Acme, because neither of the two bombs that he claimed to have placed on the two cars I drive (one of which Cyndi drove about half the time) went off.

Larry says he removed the bomb attached to one car and then believed the other “fell off” when his cousin Daryl failed to see it after being told to look.

There is an alternate theory explaining the car pipe bomb as having been emplaced by either Fairfax, the FBI or perhaps, the ADL after I was arrested, but the foregoing seems the most likely scenario. At first, even the FBI suspected my wife of placing the bomb, believe it or not.

It is undisputed that Larry sold silver to three different dealers on three different occasions (remember, he stole three of our hidden stashes) – he produced receipts for those sales (totaling just a few thousand dollars) during his testimony at my trial. Larry claimed I gave the silver to him as part of my $10,000 advance payment to him for killing my precious Cyndi. Larry did finally admit on the witness stand that I hadn’t given him the silver. He took it from one of the three hidey-holes, he said.

Making a Federal Case Out of It

Why did Larry then go to the FBI and fess up to “his” part in this sordid affair? In exchange for immunity, of course, as well as the silver he had stolen from us. The feds always allow their snithes to keep whatever they are able to carry away from the scene of their crimes. He still had to get me out of the way before I discovered his theft. I was beginning to mend from the four surgeries I had had in six months and was starting to get out of the house.

Cyndi later was to be awarded only $900 in restitution from Fairfax (not yet paid) – for the over $100,000 (at today’s market value) he stole from us. Pretty good incentive for him to lie for the government on the witness stand, eh?

Larry and I had been talking a lot during those six months, because we paid him to help us out with many things, including feeding our horses twice a day whenever Cyndi was out of town, tending to her very ill mother who lives alone. I explained my difficulties with the ADL, the Russian Mafia, the FBI and others. All he needed to do was make one phone call in order to be conscripted into helping get me out of the way, which is just what he wanted.

Just a Coincidence

The ADL’s Internet site hit piece on me was quoted at length in the very first court filing by the government – coincidence? Probably just another coincidence that document subsequently was removed from the court’s files and docket. Else, we might be entitled to think of my case in terms of a conspiracy. Of course, nobody pays any attention to us conspiracy “nuts.” The FBI is alleged by us conspiracy theorists to be in bed with, if not controlled by, the ADL. Yet still more coincidence? Why did Larry go to the FBI rather than the local Sheriff or state authorities, like most of us would? Yet still more coincidence?

Larry said that he travelled nine hours to Oregon to ensure the bomb fell off the car that Cyndi then was driving, but he couldn’t be bothered to take the time to look for himself. Really? Of course, it is just coincidence that this interstate trip is the only thing that gave jurisdiction to the FBI… isn’t it? Seriously now, do you still believe in coincidence? I don’t.

Ok, you may be saying – What’s the big deal? My word against the Idahun’s, so I should be exonerated without a fight. That would be true if not for those pesky audio recordings that Larry and the FBI claim memorialize my hiring Larry the Idahun hit man. But let’s save that story for the next installment in this epic affair: “Sex, Lies and Audiotape.”

The Martyrdom of Edgar Steele

Greetings from the Northwest Homeland, comrades. It’s May the 12th. 2011, I’m Harold Covington, and this is Radio Free Northwest.

This week’s podcast will be shorter than usual, and there will be no musical interludes, because what I have to say this week is of vital importance. I want to keep it short and simple, and avoid any potential distractions.

On Thursday, May the fifth, Edgar Steele was found guilty of all four charges against him. The media has reported that he now faces thirty years in prison at sentencing. They’re wrong. Edgar Steele is a man of 65 with severe medical problems. Whatever the judge gives him, the sentence will be death. It’s customary to wait until someone is dead before burying them. Edgar Steele will be buried alive. This elderly man, who spent his entire adult life serving the law and the judicial system which betrayed him and destroyed him, will be warehoused in a box somewhere in the GULAG archipelago of the vast slave labor system which the American government and American corporations run for their profit, and there Edgar Steele will wait to die.

The so-called trial of Edgar Steele was an unmitigated horror. The so-called trial of Edgar Steele was arguably the final degradation of the once proud and vibrant legal system we inherited from our ancestors in Great Britain. It is a tradition spanning eight centuries, which began in June of 1215 in the meadow of Runymede with the creation of the Magna Carta, the Great Charter that above all established the rule of law as the basic underlying principle of Anglo-Saxon society. That tradition of almost eight centuries came to an end on May the 5th, 2011, when a sick and elderly man was murdered by the courts of the United States, because those who rule us did not like what Edgar Steele had to say and decided to destroy him, out of no reason that anyone can determine other than petty, vindictive, senile spite.

With one bang of a federal judge’s gavel, the world returned to the thirteenth century, as if the previous 800 years had never been. Once more we are back in the days when the king, or the local baron, can simply command his henchman to drag a peasant away into the castle dungeon so that the lord may take his home, his cow, his daughter or his life at will.

Edgar Steele’s defense was simple: he didn’t do it. He did not say the things that the alleged audio recordings have him saying. Nor was this mere paranoia on his part. There is in fact extensive electronic and forensic evidence that the recorded conversations between Edgar Steele and Larry Fairfax were tampered with and altered by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

But the jury was never allowed to see that evidence. Two electronics experts were willing to swear in court to the fact that the audio tracks had been tampered with by the FBI, and were fraudulent. These experts were not allowed to testify by order of the judge. The precedent has now been established that henceforth no one will be allowed to question the veracity or authenticity of any evidence presented in court by the FBI; from this point on, the American secret police are free to come up with any piece of fabricated rubbish they feel like, in order to frame someone that the government finds inconvenient for crimes that he or she did not commit. There have been others before Edgar Steele, but now that the FBI has been given the green light by Judge Winwill, there will be many more to come.

The grotesque and vicious Edgar Steele case has further established that no American any longer has the right to present a defense against whatever absurd and deranged charges some U.S. Attorney sees fit to bring against them, without first obtaining permission from the very system and the very government functionaries who seek their destruction. What’s wrong with this picture?

I’m severely hampered here, because I am unable to say publicly what really should be said. The First Amendment, the right to express any opinion and to do so without punishment and retaliation by those in power, the freedom of speech and of thought which was once this country’s crowning glory, is no more. In Obama’s America, white men who say or write things which the regime or certain politically protected minorities find disagreeable are now subject to harassment, legal persecution, and in Edgar Steele’s case, to judicial murder.

It’s been like that for quite some time, of course, but last Thursday’s verdict has finally stripped the last veneer of legality and legitimacy off the criminal power structure that rules us. It cannot be denied or ignore anymore that the government of the United States is no longer a legitimate or lawful government, for they have finally violated their own laws and their own standards so egregiously that the social contract that allows them to rule us is broken for all time. From now on, the government of the United States is just another gang of thugs, no different from the Crips and the Bloods, only better dressed and better armed.

Nor are they particularly brave or manly thugs. America is a coward that shows its prowess in destroying old men. In the same week in which Edgar Steele was crucified by the same system he so foolishly spent most of his life serving, another elderly man was murdered in a house in Pakistan by gunmen from the United States who broke into his home and shot him dead, unarmed, in front of his family. without even the shabby sham of a trial that Edgar Steele got. Many years before, in the same Idaho that perpetrated this ghastly outrage against Steele, the same gunmen murdered 14 year-old Sam Weaver by shooting him in the back and later on shot Vickie Weaver dead in the door of her home while she was holding her baby in her arms. The government that framed and murdered Edgar Steele are the same people who burned children alive at Waco and continue to fire multi-million dollar Predator drones at elementary schools and Muslim weddings in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The United States and its thugs are really good at killing old men, women, and children. I can’t help but wonder just how big and bad and tough all these FBI and BATF and U.S. Marshals would be if they ever came up against grown men who had the skill and the courage to shoot back. In fact, I’ve written several novels on the subject. America is not an eagle. America is a rat, with a yellow stripe running down its back,

They need not worry, though. We who remain will not deal with the judicial murder of Edgar Steele as we should, as upright and honorable free men should, as our own ancestors not too long ago would have done. We will not deal with the destruction of Edgar Steele as decency and justice demand because we lack the will, the self-respect, and above all we lack the courage to do so. All we will do while Edgar Steele is dragged away to his tomb is to whine on the internet. No one will hear us, and no one would listen to us if they did, because our craven acquiescence to this monstrous act renders us unworthy of notice.

So be it. One has to play the hand one is dealt. But at least I’m going to say what has to be said, and if you FBI and Justice Department reptiles who are listening to this are displeased by what I have to say, I promise you won’t have to alter and falsify this recording like you did the recordings of Edgar Steele with your informer Larry Fairfax. I’m going to say what needs to be said, and if you don’t like it, you can all go straight to hell.

Edgar Steele used to end all of his articles on his Conspiracy Penpal site with his signature phrase, “New America: An Idea Whose Time Has Come.”

He was wrong. The solution is not a New America, Ed. It’s No America. America must end. It is a diseased, leprous thing. There is no health or goodness in it, there hasn’t been for a long time, and the ultimate interest of all humanity lies in this rotting and poisonous monster called the United States being removed from the earth. All of us know in our souls what has to be done. The problem is that out of our own weakness and cowardice, we’re just sitting around waiting for some one else to do it.

But that won’t last forever. Eventually someone will do what has to be done and expunge the United States and the worms and grubs who serve it from the earth. Tyranny such as this inevitably becomes intolerable, and at some point even the most supine and cowardly of people will reach a point where the chains of fear and intimidation and brainwashing and bullying will not hold, and they find that they would rather die themselves than live one more day like this. It is virtually certain that Edgar Steele will be dead in body as well as in law by then. I wish I could promise you all that someday the prison doors will be blown open, and Edgar Steele will be brought out into the light again, but I can’t. I cannot make that decision. Only you who are listening to this can.

What I will do, as a kind of epitaph for a fine and decent man and a damned good writer and commentator who has drawn the short straw and must now descend into living hell never to return, is I will read an article of my own that I wrote a few years ago. It’s called “Let’s Talk A Little Treason.”

In Ireland, when a man has an old friend over for dinner, after the meal is over he will generally tell his wife the traditional Irish tale: “Love, Seamus and I are going down to the pub and talk a little treason.” (That’s from Brendan Behan, I think.)

Oh, hell, let's come right out and say it. Us White boys need to be talking a little treason.

I notice that the great state of Oregon is about to pass more grotesque “hatecrime” laws in favor of sodomites, making perverts who commit the filthiest acts imaginable (people don't seem to realize what it is that homosexuals actually do) a politically and legally protected class. Better than me, in the eyes of the law. Better than any white man who likes girls, because they will have specific legal protections that we are denied.

There is no more equality under the law. Some states are even worse; in Idaho all women, period are considered a special politically and legally protected class under these deranged hatecrime laws, effectively meaning that only heterosexual white males are without legal protection against “hate” and only white males can be victimized only on the lowest level, as mere Americans. Less than a woman of their own race, less than a Mexican, less than a faggot, less than a black. Three-fifths of a man, at best.

I’m going to say something now to all my fellow girl-loving honkies, and I’m dead serious. I think we need to start re-evaluating our relationship with the United States of America, with a view towards bringing that relationship to an end.

America gives us nothing except ridicule, hatred, contempt and oppression. America ignores our interests, laughs at us and reviles us, picks our pockets, discriminates against us with affirmative action and racial quotas, and kicks us in the teeth when we try to protest or petition for the redress of just grievances. America rigs the electoral process so that no one without ten million dollars in the bank should even think about running for office, and so that only criminals, incompetents, and mentally unbalanced mediocrities can win. America passes laws that give foreigners who are in our country illegally, and perverts who literally wallow in their own filth during sexual acts, a preferred and privileged status over us.

Every time we turn on the television we see grinning black and brown monkey-faces mocking and reviling us, mincing faggots waving their limp wrists mocking and reviling us, toilet-mouthed Jews like the loathsome Sarah Silverman spewing hatred and abuse at us, pathological liars in the White House and Congress pissing down our back and assuring us with solemn faces that it is raining. Thanks to the media and the Jews who control the media, when the world thinks of White males they think of revolting cartoon characters. George Washington, Daniel Boone, and Charles Lindbergh have been replaced by Homer Simpson and Peter Griffin.

White women are in their own way just as much victims as White men are, although some of them haven’t quite seen sufficiently through the feminist horse shit to understand that. If we can ever succeed in de-programming our sisters and making them understand what has been done to them, so that they realize that their place is by their menfolks' side and not with the Jews who hate them and hold them in just as much contempt as they do white men, calling them shiksas, etc...well, if we can ever succeed in doing that, you kikes had better start running.

White people do the real work in this country; Mexicans and blacks do nothing that couldn’t be done twice as well and at half the expense by a good cart horse. Robotics will eventually make the black man and the brown man completely obsolete.

White people pay the overwhelming percentage of the taxes that finance the grotesque horror show that is America. White boys, and increasingly girls, are dragged into the military and come back from the Jews’ foreign wars with their bodies mangled, to rot in the filthy Army hospitals like Walter Reed, because the influx of illegal aliens has taken all the entry-level jobs in their home towns and there is no future for White kids where they grew up.

White people, especially boys, are denied access to college education, to employment, to workplace promotion and job stability because of their skin color, because of their gender, and increasingly because of their age. I could go on and on, but if you’re White, you know what I’m talking about, and if you’re not White, I’m not talking to you anyway.

Guys—and gals—let me ask you something. What the hell do we owe a society that treats us like this?

The neocons wave their red, white, and blue Masonic dishrags and babble about all this “freedom” we’ve got. Bullshit.

What freedom? The freedom to never be able to get any kind of decent career because you’re the wrong color and you’ve got convex genitalia? The freedom not to be admitted to college because their quota for White boys was filled by the sons of the wealthy elite long before you even applied? The freedom to spend thirty years in the workforce and see incompetent affirmative action employees promoted over your head year after year?

What freedom? The freedom to pay one third of your income to support stupid wars in the Middle East to protect the Jews from the consequences of their own behavior? The freedom to “vote” in elections where half the time these arrogant swine no longer bother to conceal the massive fraud?

What freedom? The freedom to have your children corrupted by the endless tsunami of filth from the television screen and taught sodomy techniques in school? The freedom to have your son and your daughter come back from Iraq in a plastic bag or minus some limbs because all of the jobs in their home town had been gobbled up by illegals and the military was the only place they could get a paycheck?

What freedom? The freedom to be insulted, belittled, and spat upon every time we turn on a TV or pick up a newspaper? The freedom to eventually be carried off to the living hell of some state-run “nursing home” when the government finally finds some way to steal the Social Security and Medicare fund and piss it away in the deserts of Iraq or blow it on the stock market?

What the hell kind of loyalty do we owe to a government that has made us third-class citizens? What the hell kind of loyalty do we owe to a state that uses us like toilet paper and throws us away?

Why, exactly, should we respect the “rights” of media garbage people who give us nothing but insults, contempt, and vilification?

Why, exactly, should we allow our country to be taken over by millions of Mexican mestizos and all the overflow from the Third World’s sewers, and never raise a hand in our own defense because the tyrant’s law forbids it?

Yes, yes, I know the United States of America is “the law.” Of course it is. Tyrants always are the law. That’s why they’re tyrants and not simple gangsters. The difference between Barack Hussein Obama and John Gotti is only a technicality of paperwork (Except that Gotti dressed better and killed a lot fewer people.)

When the law is cruel and uncaring; when the law is vicious; when the law is oppression wrapped up in paper and forced down the throats of the powerless, the coerced and the cowed; when the law is enforced by steroid-popping bullies with badges and jackals with briefcases and reptiles in black robes who use it solely to maintain their own power over other human beings and to squeeze them dry of every last wretched penny they possess; when the law is being used to do you and your family harm, then you are under no obligation to obey it.

In every society there is a social contract that cuts both ways. The United States Constitution was an attempt to create such a contract, and until 1861 it worked. But we need to be very clear on this: the White American has upheld that contract and is even now upholding it as the blood of our young men is spilled in the Iraqi desert. It is the federal government of the United States and the squamous alien things who have stolen it away from us who have violated that social contract, again and again and again over the past century.

Like an abused wife, White Americans have put up with it all from our cheating, lying, thieving, murdering government—the beatings, the drinking up the rent money, the lipstick on the collar, the constant bullying and browbeating. But even the most abused spouse eventually decides it’s time for a divorce. That time has come. Enough! Fuck the United States government, fuck democracy, fuck America! We’ve seen enough, we’ve had enough, and we want out.

Yeah, I know. Our ancestors tried this in 1861. Well, it’s time for a re-match. Here in the Northwest, and anyplace else where White males are tired of being treated like dogs, and finally decide to show the Jews that dogs have teeth.

And you know something? I think if we ever do pull off the old Macbeth trick and “screw our courage to the sticking point,” I suspect the world will discover that as far as the baby-shit brown Barack Hussein Obama goes—well, he damned sure ain’t no Abraham Lincoln.

The United States has murdered Edgar Steele; he’s just not physically dead yet. There is one thing and one thing alone that we can do for him: we can make sure that his work continues to be read and that his name is never forgotten.

The Americans are fools: they have taken from us the lives of our martyred dead, but they have left us their names and their memories, and from those memories and from that martyred blood will spring a force that someday will unleash the fury of hell upon the vile tyranny that has done this, and on all those who have served that tyranny for a monthly direct deposit paycheck into their bank accounts. Someday, at the hand of someone most likely as yet unknown, the filth that is America will be purged from the world with fire and sword. The darkness that covers this land will be lifted, and a new generation of White children will be born and grow strong in the light. And when they do, they will remember the name of Edgar Steele, while the dogs who devoured him will be consigned to oblivion.

Right, it’s time for the Edgar Steele trial update.

To begin with, I should report that both Cyndi Steele and Ed’s 20 year-old daughter Kelsey have taken the stand and they have testified quite clearly to the jury of 11 women and one man that neither of them believes Ed to be guilty of attempting to hire Larry Fairfax as a hit man. Both of them have stated flat out that they were aware of Edgar’s internet contacts with a number of women in the Ukraine as part of his research for a book he was writing on the sex slave trade, which is run largely be Israeli Jews, as have several of Edgar’s friends and acquaintances and sometimes watched over his shoulder as he conducted online chats with these women.

That right there should blow the whole idea of motive out the window if there were any common sense applicable to these entire proceedings, but I think we all know that’s not the case. You may recall that the U.S. government originally claimed that Ed’s motive was to collect a large life insurance settlement on the lives of his wife and his mother-in-law, but they had to scramble to re-arrange that theory when they found out that Steele had canceled all his policies and there was no insurance.

The U.S. Attorney then confronted Cyndi with the phone call Ed made from the jail wherein he allegedly tried to tamper with her testimony, and Cyndi stated that she understood that her husband was trying to tell her that he was innocent, which is entirely consistent with the brief snippets of the conversation that I have heard played on the media.

I might add that the whole question of how a vital piece of evidence in a court proceeding ended up in the hands of the media in the first place, who then broadcast the tape publicly in a clear effort to poison the jury pool, is a subject which has been pointedly avoided by the government during the trial. One interesting section which was not played beforehand by the media indicated that Ed was under the impression that his conversation with his wife was covered by the legal doctrine of spousal privilege, which explains to me why he did such a seemingly reckless thing as to talk about the case with her. Needless to say, the court simply ignored the privilege, which federal courts do whenever they feel like it.

Larry Fairfax’s story is that although he accepted money from Steele, he never intended to kill anyone and told the FBI about the plot because he was afraid Steele would kill him if he didn’t agree. So, let me get this straight: Fairfax was afraid of a tiny little old man who had just come out of open heart surgery and who was as weak as a kitten. Yeah. Sure, Larry. That bit reminds me of the cartoon “Courage, the Cowardly Dog.”

What I still don’t get is why Fairfax allegedly went straight to the FBI and not the local police, which would seem to be the more logical place to go to report a crime in Idaho, but that’s another question that never seems to have been asked, at least according to the media reports.

The defense was at least able to touch on one key point, – that Fairfax had stolen silver from the Steeles and set up the murder plot to cover up the theft.

One weird development is that the federal judge is reviewing Larry Fairfax's handwritten notes to determine if the defense lawyers are entitled to the material. Now, you would think this would be obvious; it’s called discovery, and these should have been made available to the defense from the get-go, but apparently the defense didn’t even know they existed until Fairfax referred to them in court. The prosecution should have disclosed the existence of the notes and handed them over as a matter of pre-trial routine, but as one can imagine, in a political trial like this, the usual procedures are being largely ignored.

Winmill, the judge, said that he'll review the notes and give the defense relevant material. In other words, he gets to decide what’s relevant and what isn’t. Jesus.

There is one item of very good news indeed, and that is that the Judge has reversed himself and agreed to let at least one of the defense audio experts, George Papcun, testify that the tapes have been altered. Winmill ruled that testimony provided by Cyndi Steele and her daughter, Kelsey Steele, opened the door for testimony from Papcun about whether the recordings have been altered by the federal government. Sounds to me like that defense attorney McAllister the Steele family hired is earning his fee; he clearly used Cyndi and Kelsey to get around the judge’s outrageous ruling of last week that because the defense had not produced any evidence that the tapes had been altered, they would not be allowed to introduce any evidence that the tapes had been altered.

According to the media, it’s possible that the case may have gone to the jury by the time you folks out there are hearing this podcast, and so you may already know the verdict, so I’ll hold off on any more comments at this time, although I suspect that one way or other I’ll be letting loose with a real blast next week.

Steele Denied The Right To Make A Defense

There is a very disturbing development in the Edgar Steele case. On April the 20 and 21, a pre-trial hearing was held in Boise to determine whether or not the defense will be allowed to present audio experts who claim that audio tapes, or I should say digital recordings, I use the term tapes out of old ingrained habit—anyway, the sound recordings in which Edgar Steele supposedly tries to hire Larry Fairfax as a hit man, were forgeries.

This thing is called a Daubert hearing under Federal Rule 702, and it was specifically a hearing to determine whether the expert witnesses for the defense would be admissible in court during Edgar Steele’s upcoming trial. Two expert witnesses for the defense who have analyzed the audio tapes the prosecution is using to indict Edgar Steele were examined for their credentials so the judge can decide if their evidence will be deemed admissible during the trial.

The first expert witness is George Papcun, PhD. His web site has a list of his credentials. The judge ruled that, while his credentials qualified him as an expert, his analysis of the tapes was not relevant because no evidence from the defense had been presented that raised any suspicion that the tapes had been altered, which is simply absurd. In other words, the defense would have to sneak into the Federal Building in Spokane or Coeur d’Alene and secret videotape FBI agents messing with the tapes before they can claim that the tapes were altered.

In other words, an expert’s opinion that the sound tracks were altered is not relevant because the defense has presented no evidence that the sound tracks were altered. Well, isn’t that what Doctor Papcun’s testimony was supposed to indicate? We’re looking at Catch 22 here. It sounds like Monthy Python is writing the script.

The second expert witness was a man named Dennis Walsh. The judge ruled that Mr. Walsh did not have the necessary credentials to testify. What Mr. Walsh has discovered during his analysis is that there are 351 electronic transients in the audiotapes of June 9 and June 10. These “transients” show places on the tapes where there have been alterations or editing, with obvious quality of sound changes, etc.

Although the prosecution brought forth their own expert witnesses regarding the audiotapes, it will not be necessary to use them at trial since, after today’s ruling, the jury will hear the audio tapes and there will be NO questioning as to their authenticity.

In other words, this is a completely politically motivated case, and the fix is in. The trial is supposed to begin today, April 26, so we’ll see what happens, but I have to admit that since Steele will not be allowed to introduce a defense, it doesn’t look good. It’s kind of hard to avoid conviction when the judge decides the accused won’t be allowed to present a defense.

You know, I really wonder sometimes, what exactly did Edgar Steele do in order to piss somebody in the Federal government off like this? Some people have suggested that this whole thing is a hoax perpetrated by that big land developer up in the Idaho panhandle, Tim, Tom something, what’s-his-name, to cleanse his private little kingdom up there of wicked racists so the developers can go hog wild and turn all of North Idaho into a condo and mansion-filled paradise fit for liberal yuppies. Other people claim that Steele got onto our nigger attorney general Eric Holder’s personal shit list when he defended the Aryan Nations all those years ago. Still more claim that a book Steele was about to publish on the world sex slave trade, which is run by Israeli Jews, got the Israeli mob pissed off at him?

Who knows? But when the judge simply will not allow the authenticity of FBI evidence to be questioned, that pretty much tells the story. We’ll see how the trial plays out, but I have to admit that in view of this latest ruling, it doesn’t look good.

Wanted you all to know that Edgar Steele has been moved to the Bonner County Jail in Sandpoint, Idaho. The U.S. Marshals moved him after his hearing before Magistrate Candy Dale on February 16th.

Under consideration was a motion to have him released on bond. Mrs. Steele offered to put their house and all their property up for the bond. And a local friend offered for Edgar Steele to stay at a house of his if he couldn't be released to his home to work on his defense.

Steele Obtains New Defense Attorney

The Edgar Steele Defense Fund, an Idaho non-profit corporation, announces that private counsel have submitted a request that their client Edgar J. Steele be released from the Spokane County Jail on bond.

The motion, filed February 9th asks that Mr. Steele be allowed to return to his Sagle, ID home to allow him to prepare for his March 7th trial date. He would be electronically monitored by the authorities and would not be allowed to leave Idaho. The $1,000,000.00 bond is secured by four north Idaho residents pledging their properties to assure Mr. Steele's appearance.

Most notable among those committing their significant financial support is Mr. Steele's own wife, Cyndi Steele. Mrs. Steele has maintained her husband's complete innocence since his arrest, despite questionable FBI and federal prosecution claims to the contrary. Mrs. Steele has also been instrumental in fund-raising activities and Internet talk radio interviews regarding the case.

Mr. Steele has been in solitary confinement since his June 11, 2010 arrest under allegations that he offered to hire his handyman Larry Fairfax to murder Steele's wife and mother-in-law. Mr. Fairfax is currently incarcerated in the Bonner County Jail, charged with violations of federal laws regarding the manufacture (and possession) of an unregistered explosive device.

In the months after Mr. Steele's arrest, Mr. Roger Pevan (of the federal defender's office in Spokane) was providing legal representation. The reassignment of attorneys was granted during a hearing on Monday, February 7th.

The Frameup of Edgar Steele

Greetings from the Northwest Homeland, comrades. December the 2nd, 2010, I’m Harold Covington, and this is Radio Free Northwest.

Interesting Edgar Steele update this week. Some major holes are starting to appear in the prosecution’s case, such as it was. I’d like to thank Mr. James Buchanan for putting this out on the internet, and this comes from his report.

According to Larry Fairfax, Edgar Steele was going to have Fairfax murder Cyndi Steele and then Edgar was going to pay Fairfax with money from an insurance policy on Cyndi’s life. In a recent interview of Cyndi Steele by Jamie Kelso, Cyndi has revealed that the Steeles had canceled their insurance policies. This pretty much demolishes the government case against Edgar Steele. If anyone other than Edgar Steele were being accused, he would be released from prison by now.

A little over a year ago, Edgar Steele suffered a ruptured heart aorta. He was rushed to the hospital and escaped death by the narrowest of margins. After weeks in the hospital, Steele was able to return home in a greatly weakened condition. Cyndi Steele hired a handyman, Larry Fairfax to fix some pipes that been damaged by freezing water. The Steeles retained Fairfax to do work around their ranch while Edgar Steele was convalescing. Unknown to the Steeles, Larry Fairfax had previously worked as an informant for the FBI. Over the next six months, Larry Fairfax spied on the Steeles as a government informant.

Years earlier, Edgar Steele had defended the Aryan Nations from a civil lawsuit which ultimately took away the Aryan Nations compound from its owner, Richard Butler. Since that trial, Steele has defended a number of pro-White activists (often at no charge). Edgar Steele has also written a series of articles on his “conspiracypenpal.com” website exposing various government conspiracies and criticizing the state of Israel and its undue influence on our government.

Clearly Edgar Steele was not popular with Zionists or the many pro-Zionist Congressmen in our federal government. In an earlier case in Idaho, the federal government sent an informant to spy on Randy Weaver. After a year of spying, the federal informant eventually talked Randy Weaver into cutting off a shotgun barrel a quarter inch too short. After entrapping Mr. Weaver for a technical firearms violation, the Feds then tried to pressure him to become a government informant against the Aryan Nations. The federal government reportedly spent a million dollars and a year’s effort trying to turn Randy Weaver into a government informant. Weaver refused to go along with the government and the Feds responded by executing a raid and siege of Randy Weaver’s home in Ruby Ridge, Idaho in which federal agents murdered Randy Weaver’s son and wife.

If the federal government was willing to go to that kind of extreme measure against someone, whom they wanted to turn against the Aryan Nations, how would the federal government feel about a lawyer who actually defended the Aryans Nations? The federal government was willing to break the law and even murder people in the past over the Aryan Nations. This means that the federal government is capable of ANYTHING based on their past behavior.

The government informant, Larry Fairfax was employed as a handyman at Steele’s ranch for six months. Apparently Fairfax was unable to discover ANY illegal behavior by Edgar Steele during this time. In April of 2010, Larry Fairfax declared bankruptcy as his main business failed with $600,000 in debt. Fairfax was behind on his mortgage payments and in danger of having his home foreclosed. It was at this time that Fairfax is believed to have stolen $45,000 in silver from secret hiding places on the Steele estate, some of which Fairfax had built as a handyman.

To cover up the theft of $45,000, Larry Fairfax hatched a plan to murder Edgar and Cyndi Steele with a massive car bomb. When the bomb failed to go off, Fairfax fell back on a second plan to claim that Edgar Steele was plotting to murder his wife. Someone, presumably the apparently helped Fairfax fabricate fake tapes that used a simulation of Edgar Steele’s voice. Cyndi Steele listened to these alleged tapes of her husband (which were played to her by the Feds) and noted that whenever the conversation turned from what chores Fairfax was supposed to do to the alleged murder plot, the inflection in Edgar’s voice would disappear and the background noise would change, strongly suggesting that the tapes were fabricated.

In a series of interviews with Jamie Kelso of the WhiteNewsNow web site, Cyndi Steele revealed that the Feds tried to bully her into confessing that she was cheating on her husband. They claimed to have pictures of her with another man (which they didn’t). When Cyndi insisted that there was absolutely no truth to that, the Feds tried to claim that a Ukrainian client of Edgar Steele was an illicit girlfriend of his (even though Edgar was still recovering and required additional surgeries in spring of 2010). It was glaringly obvious that there was no reason for Edgar Steele to kill his wife and the Feds were trying to fish around to find a reason that would make a murder plot more believable.

Cyndi also revealed that they caught Larry Fairfax snooping around underneath their house one day, and after that they kept a very close eye on him. In May of 2010, Larry Fairfax borrowed the Steele’s pick up truck and swapped the relatively new tires off it for his truck.

Edgar Steele was arrested on June 11th for plotting to murder his wife. The bomb on Cyndi Steele’s car however was not found until June 15th when Cyndi took her vehicle to a Quick Lube for an oil change. Larry Fairfax was arrested June 15th for possession of an explosive device. Fairfax was questioned and admitted to putting that bomb on Cyndi’s car. A judge at Larry Fairfax’s preliminary hearing asked why he hadn’t filled up the pipe bomb with sand instead of gun powder. That of course assumes that Fairfax was acting as a police informant and not trying to murder Cyndi Steele to cover up his theft of a large quantity of silver.

According to the government, Steele was going to pay Fairfax for the murder of his wife with the money from an insurance policy. The policy reportedly covered accidental death, but no one has ever explained how an enormous pipe bomb exploding could possibly be considered an accidental death. An attorney such as Edgar Steele would know that a homicide does not count as an accidental death.

Even more important is the fact that the Steeles had canceled their insurance policies. Apparently Larry Fairfax was ignorant of this critically important piece of information. Clearly it’s time for the government to release Edgar Steele from prison and to charge Larry Fairfax with grand theft of $45,000 in silver and the attempted murder of both Edgar and Cyndi Steele.

There is no telling how long this site is going to remain up and we don’t want Ed’s internet work to be lost to the rest of us.

Greetings, comrades. There’s no Edgar Steele update this week; no news, really. The trial has been postponed to March the 7th, Cyndi Steele is doing a speaking tour to try and raise some money for legal expenses, and that’s about it. That’s one bad thing about these cases; the federal government has the capacity to simply sit and wait the rest of us out, postponing and postponing the trial until the short American attention span kicks in, everyone loses interest, and wanders away. We need to make sure that doesn’t happen with Ed Steele. They learned their lesson back in the days of Sacco and Vanzetti; courtrooms are for disposing of people the régime finds inconvenient, not for making martyrs out of dissidents.

It would help of course if Ed had an energetic, completely dedicated and privately hired attorney who would give him what the legal code of ethics from the bar association supposedly requires, i.e. he would defend his client fully and zealously—their words, not mine. But apparently the cost these days of a real defense in a court of law begins somewhere in the neighborhood of $250,000, and all the family’s assets deliberately seized and frozen by the federal government in order specifically to prevent the retention of a defense lawyer who might give the prosecution problems or ask embarrassing questions.

So much for equality under the law; just like our American healthcare system, our American judicial system is tied to a cash register. Justice in this country is for sale, and I mean that literally. It has a cash price tag attached.

Cyndi has only been able to raise about 10% of that so far, if my information is correct. I believe she is now concentrating on an attempt to raise enough money to try and pay an independent electronics and audio expert to review the so-called tapes recorded by Larry Fairfax wherein Edgar Steele allegedly tries to hire Larry Fairfax as a hit man. My understanding is that Cyndi has in fact been allowed to listen to a few of the tapes, most likely when the FBI was trying to convince her to be quiet and disappear and not embarrass them by coming out in public support of her husband, and one of the things that’s prompted her to stand up and speak out is the fact that those tapes sounded fuzzy and jerky and jumpy, as if certain key words and phrases had been added.

By the way, in case you folks are wondering and thinking that all this speculation about the FBI tampering with the tapes is just paranoid conspiracy theory, I can tell you just from doing this Radio Free Northwest broadcast every week that tampering with audio files is not just possible, it’s done all the time. I do it all the time. I use an audio editing program called WavePad, and to spare my voice, I usually record this show is segments, which I then string together in Wavepad to make more or less a full hour. I drop in the music last of all.

Now, sometimes on this show I will miss or slur a word or accidentally delete part of a sentence when I’m editing, and I have to go back and speak the word or phrase into the microphone again, record it in Wavepad, and then drop it into the podcast. Sometime you guys notice this, I’m sure, where there’s a little skip or jump in the cast, but I’ve gotten sufficiently good at it over the past year to where I can usually slip a word or a phrase in smooth as silk and you don’t notice it.

And the government of the United States has far better and more sophisticated resources for doing this than I do on my PC, not to mention much more skilled audio techs to commit forgery. So there is no question at all that Edgar Steele could have been framed. The technology definitely exists. I know because I use it myself. The question is, was Edgar Steele framed, and here is where we have to look at the character of the United States government and the law enforcement agencies involved. Once the moral and political character of the FBI is taken into account, I think we all know the answer to what’s going on here.

The next event in this dog and pony show should be Larry Fairfax’s sentencing on December 16th, but we don’t know yet whether that will be postponed as well. They will want to have a handle on Larry to make sure his testimony goes according to plan and make sure he doesn’t mess up, and I think they may lose some of that leverage if Fairfax has already been officially sentenced. We’ll see how that plays out.

Some people have asked me why I think Edgar Steele is being framed, especially at this point in time when he was just out of the hospital and he wasn’t actually doing much of anything. Steele was planning on running for governor of Idaho but his health problems pretty much put the kibosh on that, and he had already announced his intention to withdraw.

Some people think it was because Steele was about to publish another book, this one on the Israeli involvement in international human trafficking for sexual purposes, and it’s true that the Jews can be hyper-sensitive and very vindictive about such things, but let’s face it, any such book wouldn’t really have told us anything we didn’t already know, would it? The Israeli mob is know to world law enforcement as the biggest pimps and White slavers around; Jews are to prostitution what the Colombians and Mexicans are to cocaine, the niggers are to heroin, the Russian mob is to Medicare and computer fraud, and poor Whites are to methamphetamine. So no, I don’t think it’s that.

As to why the régime gone after Edgar Steele, it could well be that there is a very simple explanation. They’ve done it because they can. They know that no one will dare to stand up for a so-called “White supremacist,” whatever the hell that is, and they know all they have to do is get him in front of a jury full of drooling morons up there in North Idaho and find some way to emphasize that Steele was the lawyer who defended Richard Butler and Aryan Nations, and Bob’s your uncle. Easy win for the lady prosecutor and the FBI’s clearance stats go way up.

You have to bear in mind that the FBI especially considers White Nationalists to be easy pickin’s, a quick shot in the arm for their case and clearance stats, and convicting a so-called White racist is a shot in the arm for any FBI man’s career prospects back in DC. Convicting a wicked racist looks really great in an FBI agent’s personnel file. And they’re right. We are easy pickin’s, We’re like dodos back on those South Pacific islands in the 19th century; we’re fat and slow and stupid, we’re not dangerous because unlike Muslims we never fight back or retaliate, so arresting and framing White Nationalists is completely risk-free. And we’re good eatin’ in the legal and political and public relations sense. I won’t state the obvious, lest I incite, but so long as we’re easy pickin’s and good eatin’, the FBI are going to help themselves to us any time they get the munchies, so to speak. Like going out to KFC and picking up a bucket of extra crispy.

The Edgar Steele case might be something a little more subtle though. It might be the régime’s way of letting us know that they never forgive and never forget. Ed Steele defended Richard Butler ten years ago and the Christine family eight years ago, but our lords and masters have long memories; this could be purely vindictive.

Or it could simply be a lifestyle bust. Somebody in authority just plain does not like Edgar Steele, he or she has the power to fuck with Steele using the system, and so they’re doing it, just because they can. When the late author and Gonzo journalist Dr. Hunter S. Thompson was having his home in Aspen, Colorado turned over for twelve hours by the local cops on a “he touched my titties” complaint from a ditzy female “journalist,” who later turned out to be bogus, Thompson knew one of the sheriff’s deputies who was tossing his place and he asked him what the hell was really going on. The cop replied, “Hunter, this is a lifestyle bust. The decision has been made. We are going to bring you into the system.”

This is the purpose of more of these cases than I think we suspect: to bring someone into the system, to pull them into the mincing, mangling machine which is the law in this country and thus prevent them from doing anything for a long time other than struggling and screaming to get out. It’s kind of hard to make speeches and write blogs when your legs are trapped in a whirling steel machine and you’re being dragged down the conveyer belt towards the blades.

This may well be one reason that the Steele family’s assets were seized and frozen; not just to make it impossible for Ed to hire a bona fide defense attorney, but simply to inflict hardship on the Steeles, as witness the fact that Cyndi is now having to go on a speaking tour to raised desperately needed funds.

A fabricated legal case turns the victim’s life into one long nightmare wherein all time, effort, and above all funds of the targeted person or group must henceforth go towards “The Case” rather than the political, social, or internet activity which our lords and masters find annoying or inconvenient. And if and when the targeted victims do finally escape from the net, with or without having served a prison sentence, they are usually so destitute and just plain terrified of being forced back into the machine that they bow down to our lords and masters and do what is required of them, i.e. they shut up.

I have known a lot of men who stood up magnificently in prison itself, and yet when they were finally released they disappeared so quick you’d have thought Scotty beamed them up to the Enterprise. They never formally broke or surrendered, but after many years they lacked the strength necessary to commit the one final act of defiance: to return to political activism even after the System has done their worst.

Even if Edgar Steele does finally come to trial in March, and even if he does escape from the jury of pale drooling morons anxious to please the government and show what good non-racist liberals they are, if and when they finally do open the prison doors and let him come tottering out into the sunlight, what kind of shape is he going to be in, mentally, morally, emotionally, financially?

In the event of an acquittal, will the court un-freeze Ed’s gold and silver and his bank accounts? Will he be strong enough to continue to write and publish on the internet? I hope so, but at his age and in his state of health, the body and the mind don’t stand up very well to endless months of prison without trial. Right now they’re trying to break him. One way or the other, we’re going to see what this man is made of.

Edgar Steele's trial has been postponed until March 7. That’s four months of delay, for no apparent reason that anyone can determine. Obviously, the U.S. Attorney wants to avoid a public trial because they now have virtually no evidence except for the so-called tapes of Steele soliciting Larry Fairfax to kill his wife and mother in law, and of course there’s Fairfax himself, who is by now so completely discredited by his own behavior that I suspect the feds don’t dare produce him in a courtroom and on the record. My guess is they want the extra four months to bring more pressure on Ed Steele to cop to a plea, to publicly admit that something happened, anything, so as to let the FBI off the hook. Be interesting to see what kind of a deal they offer him, if we’re ever allowed to learn.

Of course, it also gives them another four months wherein Steele’s terrible health might kick in and solve the whole problem for them, with or without a little encouragement from the prison doctor. Bear in mind that 11 months ago Steele underwent very serious open heart surgery and his health has to be pretty precarious. That’s not something you just get up and walk away from. Anybody remember what happened to Jim McDougal in federal custody back in 1998, when it looked like he might break and his testimony before Ken Starr might have embarrassed Billyboy?

That will mean that by the time he comes to trial—if he ever does come to trial—Edgar Steele will have been in prison for nine months for a crime which it is becoming more and more clear every day he did not commit. I won’t even bother to ask what happened to the Constitutional guarantee of a speedy trial; we’re dealing with the government of the United States here, and they are allowed to ignore any and all sections of the Constitution as it pleases them.

The second item of news is that the federal judge has modified the no-contact order against Steele and his wife Cyndi, his alleged victim. Well, sort of. Edgar Steele and Cyndi Steele are now allowed to meet once a week in the Spokane County Jail, but they are not allowed to touch, they are not allowed to exchange any written notes or documents, and they are not allowed to say anything at all about the case.

Steele’s court-appointed attorney must present at all times and he is under court order to immediately suspend the meeting and have Steele hustled back to his cell if he doesn’t like anything either husband or wife says. Finally, all of these meetings are to be recorded and by order of the judge, the recording of each meeting is to be gone over with a fine toothed comb in order to make sure that Cyndi and Edgar are not communicating in some kind of secret code. No, I am not making this up.

I’m sorry if this seems to be rocking the boat at a time when Ed Steele needs all the support he can get, but I’m sorry, I simply don’t believe that a man who is being paid by the very court system and the very government that has initiated this whole grotesque farce and is clearly determined to destroy this man out of what appears to be nothing more or less than sheer vindictive malice, is capable of representing Steele with the kind of single-minded and complete zeal which any attorney is supposed to devote to his client’s interest.

The fact that the judge appointed Steele’s own ostensible attorney as the watchdog over these horrible government-supervised meetings tells the story, I think, as well as the fact that the judge assumes that this man who is supposed to be on Steele’s side will enforce this atrocity without question. I have a really creepy vision in my mind as to what these meetings will be like. What the hell are husband and wife supposed to talk about in a situation like that? The weather?

Major league Edgar Steele update this week.

On September 7th in federal court in Coeur d’Alene, Edgar Steele’s wife Cyndi finally stepped up to the plate, and legally speaking she may have knocked one out of the park. Maybe, if we can get anybody to pay attention to what she’s saying. That court date was supposed to be a plea bargain hearing for Larry Fairfax, the federal informant who manufactured a pipe bomb and attached it under Cyndi’s SUV. Fairfax was going to get a sweetheart deal which would basically allow him to do a few months of cushy time in a minimum security facility and then walk out the gates, provided of course that his testimony convicted Edgar Steele, who is the real target of this bizarre little psychodrama from the Age of Obama.

What Cyndi did was use a little known aspect of the law, the right of the victim of a crime to file an official and legal objection to a plea bargain involving the crime committed against her. She and her mother-in-law Mrs. Kunzman both filed legal objections to Larry Fairfax’s sweetheart deal in exchange for his testimony against Edgar Steele. In doing so I won’t say they’ve blown the lid off the case, since the news media has been silent on it except for one article in the Bonner Daily Bee and nobody has yet heard Cyndi’s story because of this media blackour, but they have given us far more information about what has been going on in this loathsome frame-up than anyone else so far. At long last, we are getting a glimpse at the inner workings of this sickening case.

I might also add that Cyndi only did this after the U.S. Attorney prosecuting the case, a woman named Traci Whelan, repeatedly refused to return her calls or to discuss the case with Cyndi. It became so glaringly obvious that Cyndi was just being blown off by the government that she said to hell with all this low profile crap, something is rotten in the state of Denmark here and I’m gonna start sounding off.

The key words here are from one of the federals’ own court documents describing Fairfax’s criminal actions as part of the plea bargain deal. In fact these words may be inadvertent; some clerk typist in the U. S. Attorney’s office or some dumb FBI agent who doesn’t know how to write a report may have slipped up and let the cat out of the bag. I quote “Fairfax and another individual, not identified in the documents, drove to Oregon to check whether the pipe bomb was still on her vehicle. They didn’t see it and returned to Idaho assuming it had fallen off.”

This is the first word we have had of anyone else being involved in the alleged murder plot, and yet the FBI has refused to publicly identify or arrest this second individual. In other words, there was not one but at least two federal informants involved in framing Edgar Steele. My guess is that the unidentified person was Fairfax’s handler. Who knows, maybe John Doe Number Two in the Steele case was actually a badge carrying federal agent? Now, what do you want to bet that this John Doe Number Two is made to disappear from the narrative just like the John Doe Number Two in the Oklahoma City bombing? Yeah, I know, that doesn’t really apply, since the identity of the Oklahoma City John Doe Number Two has been known for years, but you folks understand what I mean.

In her objection to the judge, Mrs. Steele demanded to know who Fairfax’s accomplices are so she can protect herself from them. She wants them brought to justice, which is unlikely if the kingpin, Fairfax, is allowed to get off easy.

Here’s where it gets nasty. According to Mrs. Steele’s affidavit, at the time of her husband’s arrest the FBI told her that there were still multiple accomplices of Larry Fairfax and her husband Edgar Steele quote-unquote “out there,” allegedly circling like sharks waiting to kill her, and that was why she had to go into hiding, never speak to the media, and why she must never attempt to contact her husband or ask him what the hell’s going on.

I have been wondering about that. Now, when a woman has been married to a man for 30 years and all of a sudden she is informed that her husband has allegedly tried to hire a hit man to kill her, you would think that the first thing such a woman would want to do would be to march right in and demand some kind of explanation or at least hear his side of the story. You’d think after 30 years she owed him that, at least. Cyndi Steele apparently didn’t, and for a while that puzzled me. Well, now we know why. The Federal Bureau of investigation frightened the living bejesus out of her by conjuring up images of assassins with sniper’s rifles and silenced pistols in her closet and hiding under her bed.

Also, a comrade of ours pointed something out, and that is that the federal court’s no-contact order is in practice mutual. It’s just that, it’s not a restraining order, it’s not an Ed mustn’t contact Cyndi order, it’s just what it says, a non-contact order, and Cyndi can’t contact her husband without violating the order. In other words Cyndi is just as much prohibited from talking to Edgar as vice versa. Steele himself is now facing an additional ten years for sending his wife a birthday card and speaking to her on the phone, in a call that was set up by the authorities especially to incriminate him. The régime wouldn’t even allow the two of them to meet for the discussion of their financial affairs, such financial affairs as they have since the régime seized and froze all of Edgar Steele’s assets so he couldn’t hire a competent attorney. Somebody sure as hell doesn’t want Edgar and Cyndi Steele getting together and comparing notes.

That was the one of the first circumstances that led me to believe that there really is a frame-up going on here. If the government’s case is really so solid, and if they have Steele bang to rights on these alleged audio and video tapes soliciting the murder of his wife and mother in law, then why do they need all this skulduggery? Why not bring in Cyndi Steele for a big confrontation and videotape the whole thing? Their so-called evidence can’t be all that convincing if they are afraid that Steele might persuade his wife of his innocence simply by talking to her.

Here is Cyndi’s version of events as contained in her affidavit, and by the way, these affidavits are available for your inspection and edification online in .pdf format. In late May of this year Cyndi Steele took an 18-day journey from her home in North Idaho to Portland, Oregon to be with her mother, who has been ill. In the early morning hours of June 11, 2010, the FBI went to visit Mrs. Steele there, the same day they arrested her husband on so-called evidence supplied by Fairfax, the man who actually planted the bomb and who was allowed at that time to remain free.

However, according to the affidavits of both Cyndi Steele and her mother, instead of warning Mrs. Steele that they had a report of a bomb under her car, the FBI agents sat outside the house for two hours for unknown reasons. Now remember, the official story was that Fairfax had supposedly come forward on June the 8th, allegedly filled with horror at the thought of being solicited to commit murder, and so you would think the FBI would have been aware of the pipe bomb at the time of the visit. But they neither checked under the car for the bomb themselves, nor did they call the Portland bomb squad, nor did they have the car impounded so it could be inspected.

Instead, Obama’s Finest allowed Cyndi Steele to drive 450 miles back to North Idaho with a bomb under her car, where on June 15th she pulled into a Jiffy Lube and the attendant pointed out an object attached to her exhaust system, a pipe with some wires and several sticks of dynamite. Not a black powder pipe bomb as originally claimed by the FBI and the media, but a real life dynamite job of the kind the Mob refers to as tail-piping. That’s another piece of disinformation spread by the media but contradicted by the actual court documents. The local bomb squad was called in to neutralize the device and U.S. Highway 95 had to be shut down for several hours as the bomb was blown up in a controlled detonation, so yes, it worked and it
would have killed Cyndi Steele or anyone riding in the vehicle.

Why didn’t the FBI in Oregon take immediate action, not only to warn her, but to neutralize the bomb? If the bomb had detonated in a populated area when Mrs. Steele hit a pothole or other obstruction in the road, it’s possible that many people would have been killed, and yet the FBI did nothing. The only thing they have come up with by way of an explanation is that Larry Fairfax, uh, “forgot” to mention during his debriefing that he had already wired dynamite to Cyndi Steele’s car. That’s a pretty big oops, there, Larry.

Do you believe that? I don’t. I think those federal agents knew perfectly well that Cyndi Steele’s car was rigged to explode and they deliberately left it so that Cyndi would be killed and that would lend credibility to their case against the husband Edgar, who is their real target. I think the FBI and the U.S, Attorney have have received orders from the Obama régime in Washington, DC to get Edgar Steele and they don’t care how they do it. After all, a dead Cyndi Steele couldn’t gum up the works and throw a monkey wrench into the system by believing in her husband and filing inconvenient affidavits in court, now, should she?

Something really off kilter is going on here. Why would the government enter into a plea bargain with a confessed criminal whose accomplices are at large, when the FBI allegedly believes they still want to kill the victims? The government routinely makes deals with mobsters like Joe Barboza and Sammy Gravano who have killed dozens of men, but I admit I’ve never heard of anything as blatant as this happening before. Why is it that these other individuals, whom the FBI told Cyndi Steele exist, have not been charged with a crime since the U.S. Government claims to know who they are, including the one who accompanied Fairfax to Oregon to check on whether the pipe bomb was still on her vehicle, and was clearly knowledgeable of the crimes being committed by Fairfax.

Why is the U.S. government protecting the identity of a co-conspirator who has complete knowledge of the entire scenario and who was physically present when a very important part of the crime was being committed? Isn’t a co-conspirator someone who offers assistance, such as helping Fairfax check on the bomb?

I think the answer is obvious. At least one of the so-called other conspirators is either a long-term federal informant or a badge-carrying FBI agent who was acting as Larry Fairfax’s handler and they don’t dare to reveal his or her name.

Fairfax was about to lose his house in foreclosure. He stole thousands of dollars of gold and silver bullion from Edgar Steele while acting as his handyman, and he needed a way to cover up those thefts. But then again, maybe Fairfax had another source of income. There have been a number of other inconsistencies in the dribs and drabs of evidence that the FBI has allowed to leak out which indicate that Fairfax was already a federal informant when he first met Edgar Steele and he may have been sicced on Steele deliberately.

The Obama régime is clearly trying to break Steele. After Steele’s arrest and after two phone calls which appear to have been arranged by the government in order to incriminate and entrap him, Steele was held incommunicado in isolation, without visits from friends or family for almost six weeks. For some weeks the Spokane County jail denied that Steele was there and said the U.S. Marshals had taken him away to an undisclosed location; it is still not known whether Steele was in fact removed from the jail and taken elsewhere for a time, since he has not been allowed any uncensored or unmonitored communication with anyone. A public outcry and a letter and phone campaign from Mrs. Ingri Cassel of the Idaho Observer to state senators and representatives finally forced the government to reveal Steele’s whereabouts and allow him correspondence and visitors, although right around that time the Spokane County Jail mysteriously changed their rules so that inmates can now only receive post cards.

Another interesting thing recently came out; Cyndi Steele has fired the attorney she had and is in the process of looking for a new one. One wonders whether her previous long silence was due to bad legal advice she was getting and who was actually signing this attorney’s checks.

One final note: both the affidavit from Cyndi Steele and the ones from her mother are couched in required legalese form, and yet they pointedly contain favorable references to Edgar Steele. It’s easy to read between the lines: Cyndi and her mom don’t buy the feds’ wild story about Steele hiring Larry Fairfax as a hit man. So that’s one question answered: Cyndi Steele and her mom are standing by their man. That’s the first good news in this foul case since it started.

Cyndi Steele Finally Gets It

Many people may be wondering why Edgar Steele's wife, Cyndi, hasn't come forward in defense of her husband until now.

For the reasons stated below, Cyndi will stay in relative seclusion for the time being. She is in the process of hiring a new attorney to protect her rights and the rights of her family (things did not work out with the attorney who was representing her before). This will give her and the family some breathing space to have active representation while they go about their lives. Now that the Feds have shown that they are not willing to prosecute the other unnamed accomplices of Larry Fairfax who are involved in this case, Cyndi realizes that taking a low profile to allow the FBI to do their job, simply will not do any good.

The Steele family needs all the support that can be mustered. Please send the information below to anyone interested. Most of the old questions should be answered. As always, when there is new information available, it will generate a myriad of new questions.

Cyndi will be able to answer and respond to legitimate questions and concerns now that the Feds have proven their true colors and shown her that keeping a low profile really serves no purpose.

You may explain the following to anyone who asks: "Why has Cyndi been in seclusion?":

1) On the day that Ed was arrested, the FBI warned Cyndi that Larry Fairfax had certain unnamed accomplices who were "out there" or who were at large and that they had an active plan to kill her and her family;

2) The FBI promised that they had, or would, arrest the unnamed accomplices of Larry Fairfax whom they had identified and prosecute them for their crimes (giving her the impression that she and her family would be protected from these criminals who were known to the FBI, but who were still at large);

3) Cyndi believed the FBI and has kept a very low profile, not wanting to interfere with the FBI and their investigation; and, of course, not wanting to put her life or the lives of her family in jeopardy while they all waited for the Feds to round up these "bad guys" so that she and her family would be safe;

4) By the middle of last week, when a plea bargain with Larry Fairfax was scheduled for 4:00 p.m. today and the prosecutor, Traci Whelan, failed to call her back after Cyndi tried to reach the prosecutor on August 26th about the Fairfax plea bargain, Cyndi could see that the Feds were going to give Larry Fairfax a "sweetheart plea deal" without even consulting her and that his unnamed accomplices still had not been identified or arrested or charged or prosecuted; and

5) Finally, Cyndi decided to come out of seclusion and demand her legal rights as a victim, guaranteed by Congress, to object to the Fairfax plea bargain. Cyndi has demanded that she and her family be protected - and she has demanded that the Fairfax unnamed accomplices be brought to justice, because these unnamed accomplices are partly responsible, as co-conspirators, for the crimes against her and her family (that includes of course the planting of a bomb under her vehicle).

Note: There is no question that the feds know who these people are because they told Cyndi so; but, they are not telling anyone else and they have not arrested them, which makes it appear that they are protecting them. So, what's that all about?

Murder-for-hire suspect allegedly sent birthday card to his wife from jail

COEUR d'ALENE - Prosecutors say a birthday card mailed from jail by Edgar J. Steele, likely to his wife at their home near Sagle, is a possible violation of a court-ordered no-contact order. The card included the handwritten line: "Never, in a million years, would I do anything to knowingly harm you."

Assistant U.S. Attorney Traci J. Whelan filed documents in U.S. District Court in Coeur d'Alene to notify the court of the birthday card.

"It appears to the United States this is not only a violation of the court's no-contact order, but another blatant attempt by the defendant to persuade his wife (Cyndi Steele) to do whatever is necessary to help him," Whelan wrote.

Edgar Steele, a 65-year-old attorney who has handled multiple high-profile trials, is charged with allegedly hiring someone to kill his wife and mother-in-law and make it look like an automobile accident. Steele has pleaded not guilty.

Prosecutors say they have audio recordings of Steele hiring a hitman to get the job done. The recordings were made with the help of the hitman-turned-informant who wore a hidden recording device in secret meetings with Steele.

A trial is set for Nov. 1 in front of Chief U.S. District Court Judge B. Lynn Winmill in Coeur d'Alene.

Steele's attorney, Roger Peven, couldn't immediately be reached for comment Monday about the birthday card.

In the card, Edgar Steele writes: "How do I begin to say I'm sorry for being the reason that all this has befallen our family. I know how to say 'I love you.' Though they won't let me say it, they can't stop me from loving you ... nor you from loving me, of course - which I hope you still do, sweetheart."

Prosecutors received a copy of the letter sent by Steele from the Spokane County Jail, where he's being held. The card was sent out last month, and Cyndi Steele's birthday is July 29, court documents say.

The envelope was addressed to Kelsey Steele, Edgar Steele's daughter.

But, prosecutors say, "The handwritten message is indicative of what a husband might write to his wife."

Inside the card, Steele writes: "Do whatever it takes to be able to stand by my side and to continue to be my partner in life."

And, "With all of my heart, happy birthday, my love."

A copy of the birthday card and envelope were filed in court documents last week.

Two days after Steele was arrested June 11, Steele was recorded making phone calls from Kootenai County jail to his son and wife, instructing them that Cyndi Steele must tell authorities that the voice of the man ordering the hit isn't her husband's.

Prosecutors played the jail-house calls to his wife and son from June 13 during a court hearing on June 22.

"No matter what you hear, no matter what you think, no matter what you feel, you have to say the following: 'No, that is not my husband's voice,'" Steele told his wife. "Then, like a rhinoceros in the road, you have to stand your ground and refuse to say anything but that."

Steele was indicted June 15 on a charge of murder-for-hire, and at that time the court granted a motion by prosecutors to establish a no-contact order to prevent Steele from communicating with his wife.

Late last month, prosecutors added against Steele the charges of tampering with a witness (because of the jail-house phone calls to his wife), use of explosive material, and possession of a destructive device in relation to a crime of violence. A large pipe bomb was found under Cyndi Steele's vehicle during an oil change in June. Steele has pleaded not guilty to those additional charges as well.

Winmill approved a monitored jail-house visit between Steele and his wife, to discuss "common property and interests, as well as financial issues related to their children."

On Aug. 11, Winmill approved the meeting, but set multiple ground rules. The Steeles would not be permitted to exchange notes or other documents and they could not discuss the case against Edgar Steele or anything related to it. And Peven would have to record the entire meeting.

A day after the meeting was approved by the court, prosecutors got copies of Steele's mail. It was unclear Monday whether the meeting has taken place or will still take place.

Whelan couldn't immediately be reached for comment.

Next, a brief Edgar Steele update. It looks like at the last minute the trial has now been postponed to November 1st. It was supposed to have started on Monday, August the 16th. Let’s hope that Steele’s court-appointed defense counsel uses that time to look into all the aspects and possibilities of government fabrication of audio files. Just on general principles I would love to see somebody successfully challenge government wiretaps and other covert recordings, because I know that there has been a lot of suspicion in the past that these audios have been tampered with in other cases, organized crime surveillance tapes and whatnot. Most juries are so dumb that they assume the accused person is bound to be guilty or he wouldn’t be there.

There is another development which I find very significant, if true, but unfortunately the only source for this information we have so far is a rather dubious one, and for that reason I won’t mention anything about this until I can get it confirmed or denied one way or another. Okay, now let’s kick off with our weekly Edgar Steele update. So far as anyone knows the trial is still scheduled to begin Monday, August 16. My guess is that it will take a couple of weeks. At this point there’s not much merit in speculating on the outcome. It’s pretty clear that the federal case against Steele is incredibly weak; basically all they seem to have is a few video and audio tapes in which those who have heard them claim to have detected serious audio anomalies in the crucial points in the conversation between Steele and the federal informant Larry Fairfax, the points where Steele is supposed to be actually discussing the murder for hire plot. Fairfax himself is so compromised by his own arrest for planting a bomb in Cyndi Steele’s SUV that I am astonished that the government is still relying on him, but I suppose they have no choice.

Now, I really think we need to be looking at one crucial point here: who is this public defender that Edgar Steele has been lumbered with because the government deliberately seized all his bank accounts and assets? Maybe I missed it somewhere, but does anyone on our side even know his name? I just read over all the published news media reports on the case again, and maybe I just missed it, but I don’t think even the media have given us this attorney’s name. They just refer to him as a “public defender.”

Is this guy any good? Does he show up for court prepared and sober, or does his slouch into the courtroom unshaven in a sweaty shirt and reeking of last night’s bourbon binge? A lot of public defenders are basically courthouse loafers, ward heelers, and hopeless drunks who can’t get any other employment anywhere else in the legal system, because they’ve been caught in acts of dishonesty or perjury and because they’re so dysfunctional in their personal lives. It could well be that freezing Ed. Steele’s assets was a deliberate attempt on the part of the regime to make sure he ended up with a lousy lawyer who won’t ask any embarrassing questions but who will sort of mumble his way through the trial.

Can this man be relied upon to stand up in that courtroom and ask the pointed questions that need to be asked? Will the subject of possible politically motivated government entrapment even be broached at all in the jury’s hearing? Will he subject the federal informant Larry Fairfax to a genuine, searching cross-examination not only as to his actions but as to his motives? Will he delve deeply into the length and nature of Fairfax’s contacts with the FBI? Or will he just slough off Fairfax’s cross with a few mumbled irrelevancies? Will he take the line that “Oh, no, we mustn’t mention possible government fabrication, because that will prejudice the jury and get the judge angry at me?” Does he have the strength of character to demand that the government pay for an independent audio expert to examine the original tapes, or I should more likely say the original digital audio recordings, of Edgar Steele allegedly asking this idiot Fairfax to kill his family?

I thought Stormfront was supposed to be a *pro*-White forum. Over the last few weeks I've been compiling a long article about the Ed Steele case - extended timeline with screenshots of the news reports, concise timeline that makes it easier to spot the absurdities, discussion of the absurdities / debunking of the official conspiracy theory, etc. And there's a video to go with it. Now I find the main thread's been closed on the "murder-for-hire plot", the very day I'd finished my page and was about to post details over there.

Given that the prosecution 'evidence' is so weak, the plot so preposterous and the contradictions so prevalent, a good legal defense should make all the difference in this case. The Feds seized his life savings, so he cannot afford a good private lawyer (http://www.free-edgar-steele.com/?p=44) - and he can't run the case from a jail cell. If Ed Steele is acquitted - as he should be - it would be a kick in the teeth for the parasites and liars who hate to have their deceptions exposed.

There must be many people who have vaguely heard about the Ed Steele case, who haven't looked into it, who just don't know if he's innocent or guilty, and therefore will not make any donation. These people must be given the facts about this case. But they cannot be expected to wade through 100+ page threads, multiple forums, and time-wasting comments and diversions by trolls and shills, so I have compiled all the information on a single page for the reader to see how this case is obviously a set up.

We begin as always with our weekly Edgar Steele update. A hearing was held in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho on July 28 with a federal judge who phoned it in from Boise. The accounts I get from people who were there indicate that Steele’s public defender was pretty lackadaisical about the whole thing. We’re not talking Matlock here, apparently.

Well, what can you expect? I repeat that for someone to entrust their defense to an attorney who is being paid his salary by the same regime that is trying to do you harm, seems to me to be a bit of a conflict of interest, but often defendants have no choice. It’s pretty obvious to me that the public defender system is one of these aspects of democracy that is intended to establish the appearance of fairness and justice, while making sure that the reality of fairness and justice is always weighted in favor of the power structure and that the people the System wants locked up get duly locked up.

I mean, come on now! Outside of a lawyer show on television, when was the last time anyone ever heard of a public defender actually getting anybody released from the jaws of the mincing machine? What public defenders are good at is negotiating plea bargains. I have known a lot of guys who have been arrested, and they have described to me their experiences with public defenders. The daily pressure from the cops, the prosecution, and their own lawyers to cop a plea from these people is immense, and it takes almost superhuman strength of will to resist. I can almost tell you with almost full certainty that right now Ed Steele’s public defender is twisting the screws on Ed in every way he can to try and persuade him to cop a plea. One of the reasons in our Northwest Constitution we prohibit lawyers as a profession.

Anyway, getting back to the hearing, a trial date for Edgar Steele has been set for August 16,which I repeat is absolute lightning speed by Federal standards. The kid who was arrested for posting a poem to the internet didn’t come to court for five months, (more on him in a bit) and Bill White had to wait almost 18 months for a trial.

Not even a hint of a trial date yet for the Hutaree militia, so far as I know. They were arrested in late March and on May 3^rd a judge granted bail to all nine of the accused, which is basically his way of saying that he knows full well the FBI case is bullshit. If there had been any genuine evidence of a conspiracy or any serious danger of violent resistance to the régime. then all nine of them would still be buried alive under the jailhouse.

I don’t deny that there is still the odd federal judge around who may actually have some last lingering remnants of a sense of decency. Apparently this one who granted the Michigan defendants bond is one such. I guess the régime’s case against those nine hapless individuals is so obviously contrived and filled with perjury there that even a lifelong servant of the system in a black robe gagged on it. A pity Edgar Steele can’t get a judge like that.

I personally suspect that the reason for Edgar Steele’s overly speedy trial is that the régime wants to convict Steele before they have to try their own informant Larry Fairfax for planting the bomb in Cyndi Steele’s SUV. So far as I am aware they haven’t set a trial date for Fairfax, and he seems to have dropped off the radar. That saves them from the embarrassment of having to rely on the word of a convicted felon in the Steele case, and I am sure that with his own case hanging over his head, Mr. Fairfax will definitely be on his p’s and q’s in the courtroom and turn in a stellar performance.

The Long, Newsless Wait

I apologize for not updating sooner, but we are now going into that period that occurs in most legal cases after all the initial hoopla, which is spent mostly just sitting around twiddling your thumbs and waiting for something to happen--the period between first-arrest publicity and trial. The ball is now in the government's court, which is where they like it.

This is generally a time when prisoners tend to disappear within the system, as the short American attention span kicks in and people wander off in search of new entertainment or the latest sensation. We need to make sure that doesn't happen with Ed Steele. We need to keep on trying to write to him even if they are sending the bulk of his mail back without adequate excuse or explanation.

Will there actually be a trial in August? We don't know yet.

Will Ed Steele crack and cop a plea, on some excuse of "sparing his family the ordeal of a trial?" I personally think he'd be stupid to do so. He is a 65 year old man with a serious heart condition. Any prison sentence is a death sentence for him, and even if he makes it through five years or whatever he might get on a plea bargain, he will come out of prison at age 70 with nothing but a Salvation Army homeless shelter staring him in the face, since the government has seized all his property and assets all ready.

Ed Steele's whole life has been laid in ruins by the government of the United States, motivated so far as I can see out of nothing more than pure vindictive personal hatred because he once dared to defend Aryan Nations.

His only hope for salvaging anything at all--as terribly, terribly slim as that is--is outright vindication in the courtroom. The minute he is pressured into uttering the word "guilty" to a single charge, Edgar Steele is done. He might as well be lying in his grave from then on, even if the feds do keep his still-shuffling empty shell in some box somewhere for a few years.

That's the question now: will whatever they're doing to Ed Steele in there in the Spokane County Jail break him?

Are you aware that there is now an entire new VBulletin Board dedicated to the proposition that Ed Steele is GUILTY! GUILTY! GUILTY! and viciously trashing the hell out of anybody in the Movement who defends him, primarily including you and Alex Linder? (Boy, I''ll bet that makes Alex uncomfortable seeing as how he won't even allow you to be mentioned on VNN!) This board is run by [name redacted] who I used to like, but who honestly seems to have completely flipped his lid over this Steele thing. WTF, Harold? Yes, I know, and I was saddened to see that.

I have been studying the Movement for almost 40 years, trying to figure out just what the hell is wrong with us and why we are like this. I have to admit that while I have developed a few theories down through the years, I am no closer to a definitive answer than I was when I began.

What I think happened is that Alex Linder pissed this one gentleman off by banning him, 'tarding him, and generally fucking him over on VNN. Unfortunately there are some people who become so deeply involved and obsessed with VBulletin boards that it becomes more real to them than their actual lives. Being banned and 'tarded is an exercise in pure power, even though it's not real, and while it gives great pleasure and satisfaction to whatever dysfunctional moderator is doing the banning or 'tarding, it enrages and obsesses the person thus victimized. Some people get really carried away by this.

Thank God I myself have always been able to tell the difference between the internet and reality, and I have things to do other than live on a VBulletin board.

Anyway, the man who is now the webmaster of the Get Edgar Steele project seems to have developed an obsession with Alex Linder, because Linder refused to respond to him and (I think) banned him or else put him on moderation on VNN. Since Alex is defending Edgar Steele, this man developed a violent dislike for Steele as well and began attacking him first on his podcasts and now on his new VBulletin site.

I think it's no coincidence that he responded not by just forgetting the whole thing, like any grown man would react to what is essentially a child's game, or by creating his own web site, but by erecting a VBulletin board of his own where he is now advertising to try and pinch Linder's VNN members and posters. He hates Alex Linder but what he really wants is to become Alex Linder.

Unfortunately, Edgar Steele is caught in the Goat Dance. From now on any attempt to raise support for him or inform the public about his case or stir a genuine debate within the right wing on the dynamics of federal fabrication cases will be complicated by these people cackling and howling at the moon on their own site--and of course we all know whose site will be quoted and given publicity by the SPLC, ADL, the media, etc.

New charges in murder-for-hire case

Coeur d'Alene - A North Idaho attorney charged in a plot to kill his wife has been indicted on additional federal charges. A grand jury indicted Edgar Steele on three additional charges this week, including Use of Explosive Material to Commit Federal Felony, Possession of a Destructive Device in Relation to a Crime of Violence and Tampering With a Victim.

Steele was arrested in June after a man came forward and told FBI agents Steele hired him to kill Steele's wife and mother-in-law. That man, Larry Fairfax, then recorded Steele reiterating his request.

Steele was arrested. Three days later, Steele's wife brought her car in for an oil change and technicians found a pipe bomb under her car. Federal agents say Fairfax placed the bombs and failed to disclose that to federal agents. Fairfax was also arrested and faces federal charges.

The new indictments stem from the discovery of those devices and phone calls Steele made from the Kootenai County Jail. In those calls, Steele tells his wife Cyndi that she should lie to authorities and tell them it's not Steele's voice on the original recordings. He says: "No matter what you hear, no matter what you think, no matter what you feel, you have to say the following: no, that is not my husband's voice and like a rhinoceros in the road, you have to stand your ground."

Steele made the demands despite a warning that the phone calls would be recorded and could be used against him in court. Steele will be back in court on the new charges next week.

Steele's Mail Still Being Sent Back

Yesterday the second letter I attempted to send to Edgar Steele was returned to me marked "requires full name or address." The address was as follows

which is the exact address given to me by Kelsey Steele and also the one listed on the internet for the Spokane County jail. And yes, before anyone asks, I hand-wrote the return address using my name instead of Northwest Publishing Agency. I have heard that excuse for returning prisoners' mail before.

For some bizarre reason there is a tendency among other Steele "supporters" to blame the letter writers for returned mail, for "not following the rules," rather than the government-salaried thugs who are actually rubber-stamping crap on the envelopes and throwing them back. There don't seem to be any rules which allow Ed Steele actually to receive mail. The Spokane County Sheriff's depatrtment, almost certainly at the instigation of the FBI, is trying to make Steele feel isolated, alone, and depressed, and according to the Lokey letter they are succeeding.

Why are they waging psychological warfare against Edgar Steele like this? They are trying to force him to cop a plea bargain, no doubt on some spurious promise that if he "plays ball" and doesn't embarass the regime by forcing them to prove a case in court, he will be allowed to go home. The federal case against him must be incredibly weak, and they don't dare bring it in front of a jury.

There is supposed to be a trial date set for August. Be interesting to see how many continuances that case on the docket gets, while the government continues to try and pressure, terrrorize, and browbeat Edgar Steele into either copping a plea, or else worrying him into another heart attack.

Now for our weekly Edgar Steele update. Apparently Scotty has beamed Mr. Steele back down from the Enterprise, because he is back in the Spokane County Jail, and the official government version of events is that he never left. I guess we just imagined all those returned letters, including my own, all the visitors who were turned away, all the phone calls wherein the deputies and jailers denied that he was in their facility. I guess we just made up the deputy who told numerous callers that Steele had been removed from the jail by the U.S. Marshals, the Marshals who refused to comment apparently even to reporters, the long silence, the lack of any phone calls except for the two which were apparently arranged by the government to entrap and incriminate Steele. Anyway, all of that is now “inoperative,” as they used to say back in the Watergate days.

Apparently Steele was allowed to receive one visitor this week, although we don’t know who and we don’t know what was discussed. So whatever the feds were planning, evidently they thought better of it, at least as far as making him disappear goes.

I can’t help but wonder if even that one visit would have been allowed if there hadn’t been so much of an outcry on the internet and there hadn’t been so many people calling the jail and sending letters and generally making sure the regime knew that Ed has friends on the outside who are paying attention. This is why writing letters to prisoners is so important. The worst thing that can happen to any prisoner is for the government to get the idea that all his people on the outside have cut him loose and that they can do whatever the hell they want to him or her on the inside because nobody remembers they exist and nobody cares.

I have been informed that the government has set a trial date for Steele sometime in August, which is lighting speed by federal standards. Remember, this is the same system where Bill White, for example, had to wait almost 18 months for a trial. Looks like they’re trying to ram this through quick.

Steele has been allocated a public defender. Although he is quite affluent the government has seized and frozen his life’s savings and all his assets, which is another odd aspect of this case. My understanding is that asset forfeiture usually only applies in drug or organized crime cases, and then only after conviction, but let’s face it, this is the Obama regime and they’re just going to do whatever the hell they want to Edgar Steele without any regard for little niceties like the law or the Constitution or basic human decency. I mean, it’s not as if anybody’s going to do anything about it, right?

The practical effect of the government’s seizing all Steele’s money is to make sure that Steele has no choice but to rely on a public defender, who is of course paid by the very same regime that’s prosecuting Ed Steele and doing their damndest trying to make sure he dies in prison. What is wrong with this picture? Something is definitely going on here, and if nothing else, the incredible lengths to which the government is going just to muddy the waters tends to convince me more of his innocence. If this was just a normal common or garden variety conspiracy case, and if Edgar Steele really did try to hire a hit man to kill his wife and mother in law, and if they’ve got it all on tape, then what’s the government worried about? They’re sure not acting like this case is a slam dunk, and that puzzles me.

Another website recently published a brief letter from Edgar Steele to a friend of his on the outside, which I won’t read out loud here because it sounds pretty dispirited. Ed is obviously suffering from severe depression, as indeed he might, in view of the fact that given his age and his severe health problems he is now going to die in prison for the crime of defending Richard Butler against Morris Dees and that wealthy real estate developer what’s-his-name who owns most of north Idaho now. Apparently in north Idaho lowering property values now carries the death sentence.

Folks, seriously, you need to write to this man, if only just a post card, to let him know he has not been forgotten. Despite Steele’s miraculous re-appearance in the Spokane Jail we still don’t know if all of his mail is getting through, or even any of it at all, but you need to try. Reappearing Act

The official story is now that Ed Steele never left the Spokane County jail, and that his incommunicado period of some weeks in June and early July is now a non-event.

All those deputies telling people on the phone that Ed had been removed by the U.S. Marshalls, all the visitors turned away, all the official denials and claims of ignorance as to Edgar Steele's whereabouts, the lack of phone calls to friends and supporters, the general air of stonewalling and obfuscation that went on for weeks as to just where the hell Steele was--never happened. Rite-wing paranoia. You're all crazy.

Of course we are.

According to another web site, Steele has been successfully visited by an unnamed individual. The write-up of this visit was sparse, my guess being because there were guards hovering in earshot and nothing of importance could be said.

Okay, guys, this blog won't be a fancy site with all kinds of bells and whistles. It is simply a place for people to get the latest skinny on Ed's case, especially during the trial.

The most important part of this blog will be the comments section. There is already evidence that Cass Sunstein's governmental Cognitive Dissonance operatives--internet trolls paid to disrupt "right wing" and "conspiracy theorist" sites--are active on the internet attempting to convince people that Steele is guilty, to interfere in the efforts at organizing some kind of defense for him, and to confuse and demoralize Ed's supporters. Accordingly, all comments on this blog will be moderated to make sure they are compos mentis and on topic.
